I was thinking of reasons for this, and the only thing I could think of is that there may not be enough room for them. I need a bigger tank  :) .

8O  I guess you could install a pool on the bottom floor!

I've had two Benthochromis dig pit to attract the females. For some reason, both have elected to dig their pits right next to the corners of the tank. The pits are small in size compared to the size of the fish. Both the Ectodus and Op. ventralis have always dug the larger pits more toward the center of the tank. I was thinking of reasons for this, and the only thing I could think of is that there may not be enough room for them. I need a bigger tank  :) .

I took out all of the holey rock and replaced it with some lace rock. I plan to switch the substrate to black sand if I have time. While I was taking the rocks out, I caught the holding Paracyprichromis and made her spit. I also managed to catch a few cyp fry that were swimming around the tank (I guess I spooked mommy ).

When I moved my cyps into my 110 I have really started to see them color up.
I thought my males looked okie.. now they look great, like yours :)   I hope to see some breeding starting to occur soon !!
