Nice! I've only read one success story of dwarf comps with other shellies in a nano-ish tank. So I'm excited to see if this'll work.

Did you put up a thread with pics of your shellies tank?? Would love to see it!

Those are both online. Since I'm looking to add shells quickly (and only a few more, like 7 or 8), I'm gonna try to find some at an LFS.

Thanks guys! I just rearranged the scape to break the line of sight between the dominant comp and the new occies, but that comp still seems to be harassing the new guys. They're not fighting hard but still holding their own against him. Gonna look for moar shells tomorrow! :)

Finally. New additions and new pics. This tank has been fairly boring, except for the addition of some threadfin rainbows a while back. I picked up a pair of pearly occies (neolamprologus meleagris/stappersii). My larger comp already decided to start the territory disputes! Enjoy the pics/vids.

    The pair:

    Vids (sorry about sucky quality):
When the comp goes sideways, it's cuz he has sharp edges that cut when he takes that position. Luckily no one's hurt just yet.

I think I saw more furcatus at FRII, not sure but I remember seeing them somewhere other than FG.

Glad it's working out great for you this time around! Must be excited with these guys, I know I would.

Thanks Tot and Q! Mike literally had to twist my leg a full 360 in order for me to try the comps again, but I'm glad he did! They're fun to watch.

Q, I should be getting a pair of meleagris within the next 2-3 weeks hopefully. Mike has 'em but he's identified a pair he's going to keep and now he's seeing if he gets another pair, and that couple will be mine. Yay! And if FG gets in some more furcatus, I'm gonna load the upper column with 'em. They're only the coolest school of fish I've had in, like, ever.
