Thanks guys...
J, I had PC's over this tank for the longest and it was probably just as bright or brighter since the PCs were evenly shining into the tank.... but then again it was 4x96 along with 3x55.

Not to hi-jack your thread...
I wanted to show the difference between stock and upgraded tank lights, as seen by a camera with no flash.
Both these pictures were taken by comparable cameras at similar settings: F-Stop 3.5/4.0, Shutter Speed 1-60/1-80, & ISO200.
2x35 watt hood strip fluorescents:

3x150 watt Metal Halide + 4x96 watt Power Compact Fluorescents:

What a world of difference!Last edited by jeebus; 02-23-2009, 11:22 PM.

Well if you let other's pictures defer you from posting your pictures none of would be posting.... there are soo many good photographers out there on a hobbyist level and it made me hate my camera cause pictures never came out as nice.

They're coming, they're coming. I'm going back to the drawing board to see if I can squeeze some better pictures out tonight. You keep raising the bar, dang it.
