Not going to say more knowledgeable but I do know a few things. You made me look back at when I started with my Bembas back in September 2004. My photography back then isn't even near as good as what I can produce now.Originally posted by moganman View PostDonald is an old school tropheus keeper. I did not want to strip my fish at first, but I loose 2 female when they holding to long and they get pop eye and die after they release their big fry out ( 9 fry an inch) that reason I try learn how strip my fish last few week a go to prevent of die by nature WC fish hold to protect their fry ( I have rock for the fry hiding but those fish die don't want spit the fry out like another female in the group)..

Thank you Sunny. I got lucky on my Lufubu yesterday I just holding her and she split out 19 fry. I think she split out easy because she holding almost 21 day. I am in process let all my female hold at least 14 or more like you Sunny. This is a big step for me keep Tropheus successful.Originally posted by SunnyHouTX View PostI use a tooth pick to gently pry open the females mouth to get the eggs. I let Tropheus females hold at least 14 days though.
I don't have any rocks in my Tropheus tanks so it's easy to catch the females and there's no place for fry to hide.

Just a compliment. Not putting anyone down. It's obvious that it can't possibly be 99.9%. Just putting it into perspective. If I wanted to single out anyone I wouldn't have said "us". Me inclusively. You take offense to that?Originally posted by SunnyHouTX View PostSo Josiah, how did you arrive at the 99.9% number? Given that there aren't 1000 Tropheus keepers on here to make the 0.1% at least one whole person who may have more knowledge than Donald, I think you're smoking some pretty strong stuff there. Just calling it like I see it.210gPetrochromis Macrognatus Green 'Nsumbu
