I've used all these meds at once for best results on trophs and petros, including my colony of Moliros, and the ones that really affect fish are Bifuran and Metro as an antibiotic. The others' mode of action is targeted to certain features in parasites that are not found in fish so basically they are harmless to fish. There has been no documented evidence that one destabilizes another when used together, only opinions that they "can be". Read up on the ingredients in Tetra Parasite Guard, you'll see that they're some harsh stuff, but they're not lethal to fish. Even Praziquantel can be overdosed without harming the fish.

Johnny, those fish that died seem to have been kicked out of the colony, which is to be expected when adding new fish to an existing colony. One sign is when they're floating in slow motion like you said. Saw a few of those in my Moliro colony after they got over the "bug" and started setting their hierarchy again. Meds won't help that. Deaths stopped once I got the aggression under control, which included taking some rocks out, etc.

Sure is survival of the fittest with all of those meds. I'm sure some could have suffered from an immune system failure. Dang that's alot. All I ever use is metro and bifuran. I use clout alone. I've used metro, bifuran, parasite guard, and clout all together and had a terrible survival ratio. Metro and bifuran has been the best combination for me thus far. It's important you do research before just treating with all those meds. JEHMCO reps can help you with what combinations work. Those are some harsh meds to be mixing. Wild caught fish have a greater genetic diversity. With that, they respond differently to meds.

Well said Josiah. This is why research on meds and whether or not they can be safely used together, whether dangerous or possible disabling of other meds is important. Clout will typically get ride of most parasites if used long enough. But it can be taxing on an already compromised immune system.

Ya im still treating them ive used parasite gaurd, metro+, prazipro, some api general cure and bifuran.... 3 of them were just floating around in slow motion for a few days before they died one by one... Everyone else is doing good.... Ya they came from greg has there been problems with his fish

Also, this a LOT of stuff to hit them with right off of the start. I'm not sure if youare aware of this but some meds can disable others. But this is a lot of meds to use all at once in my opinion. Greg uses Clout which does a pretty good job in my opinion. If you get fish from him after a week, I would keep treating them with clout for another week after that. This is just from my experince with Greg..

Since the beginning of March I have ordered 111 fish from him and I have only lost 10-11 total.

Hmmm i dunno they all looked great when i got them its my first time with wc fish and only 3 died from what could be parasites could be my fault could not be

Let's just say there have been a couple of "incidents" I've heard about recently where fish died after a week of getting to the buyer.
