Been treating the whole tank since day 2 after everyone talked some sense in me. Lost 2 to that fungus crap. And more getting worse. Been treating with Pimafix and API.

Also try methlene blue or malachite green?!? Maybe those would do a better job than pimafix

He sold out of canary cheek. He told me if I order more from him, he'll throw in a few for free. Lol. I have a headache from all this crap. I guess I'll have to spend more money from a more reputable importer.

              Note to everyone:
when receiving WC or even shipped stock, you will have trial and error.
There is NO right way in doing it, but there is AN EXPERIENCED way in doing it.
Take experiences from everyone you know and get your OWN rhythm going.
I lost WC before and I lost Shipped TR stock before.
However, I ship and receive stock much more frequently and through trial and error I found my own way of doing things.
However, I did ask questions from a guy who I know and is much more reputable than most vendors.
At least to my opinion he is.

I do want to make another point and this is STRICTLY MY OPINION and HOW I DO THINGS.
It is best to buy stock from vendors, doesnt matter whom the vendor is but all vendors, to have them import stock and have them acclimated to certain foods, water conditions, environment, etc......
I typ. buy stock and have them wait about a month or before shipping for acclimation.
              Its DOA right........
So prepay then have stock come in later date.
In no way shape or form is it the Importers / vendors fault for sickly fish unless they have been sick for many, many weeks under their care.

If any questions I will be more than happy to clarify.

Josiah, you did tell me that you wanted them NOW.....
This was expected and I hope I prepared you for it.

You will be ok but take this as a learning experience.

I cant wait until I get my license so I tax you fools up.
And I gets rare stock in.

Now I ordered 15. About 10 of them are in perfect shape. I have two males that keep fighting trying to establish hierarchy and trying to breed but the rest are in terrible shape. Came in like that too. White crap everywhere on the fins. You can literally see the flesh.

                  Frankie,
If an importer says he is selling some fish, then the importer is telling people the fish are ready. On his website, he says he acclimates and treats for two weeks with veggie based meds before shipping them off to the consumer. I spoke to Turon and he said the fish were healthy, and he had had the fish for longer than two weeks. They are not healthy. If I'm not mistaken, you never told me to wait to receive the fish. You don't expect to get fish in swimming on the side with half the body being white and scaleless. That crap is unacceptable. Now if the fish had parasites and bloat, that's a different story, but I will not believe that fish that looked like the ones I have, developed that severe of a fungus within a few hours on the plane.

Dude, I got WC Brichardi Malagarasi & Helembe Petro as well as other variants in petros and trophs in my tank now.
                    What Im telling you is:
Before i received them they were acclimated for 2 mos. as I requested.
I have had them in my tank ever since I got my tank resealed so me purchasing the trophs and petros was well over mos ago.
You know, I still lost a few Brichs and my Helembe female is stressed out now.
I even lost 2 trophs to Skinny Disease.
Do you know that trophs and petros can get skinny disease.
It doesnt matter if its a few months acclimation with WC unless to my opinion, 7 months or above is a great timeline for me and wc to be healthy before shipped.
                    But thats just me.
WC stock are not healthy until after 7 mos and even then the shipment, your water, your food, etc... can still stress them out.
Many variables are to be considered.
I lost a few Brichardis while holding your Namansi before I shipped them last week.
                    Due to stress.
                    Trophs are very finicky bunch.
I been doing this for a very long time and one thing I can say, stress happens anytime and even in the best conditions.

                      • dude you are not comprehending what I am trying to tell you.
Just dont blame anyone, not even yourself and look at this as a learning experience and gather as much info as you can for your next WC venture.
Your still a noob and with trial, error, research and personal experience can only help you.
I still loose stock once in a while but thats the gamble, and remember this, gamble in WC.
Whether they been here 1 month or 1 year.
It happens man and all you can do is prepare for the worst.
Question, why is that most folks rather buy WC after they have been established and breeding?
Could it be self security, maybe?
                        I D K?

You will figure it out one day.

                        Goodluck.

                        • Frankie, pa you should open a classroom for some lessons lol. But i agree with you man 100% you always tend to lose some fish no matter what if they are WC. I remember when i ordered wc kasanga rr earlier this year, i ordered 35 because i knew i was going to lose a few. I had alison acclimate the fish for a month but whitin a week of me getting them i lost 2 and within that month 3 more. There is really nothing you can do but lear from this J, like it has been said before is better to buy local from people that have established colonies of wc fish.

He said, "I'm 100% sure these are canary cheek, my male canary cheek looks identical to these". Well we know the rest and apparently he had a ulwile he thought was a canary cheek.
