And here is a good video showing how the 2 different species swim, petros on top and tropheus below. I think its BC the petros are always hungry and want to be first to the food lol.
looks good im glad your gaining more interest in them :)
Well I've always been interested, was just trying to put money into another hobby and thought I could sell these. I actually had found someone who wanted them and was willing to pay full price, I just couldn't let them go. My girlfriend, believe it or not, said she'd be mad if I sold them and the tank. Plus a few of my friends also said I was stupid, so that and my own attachment to them made my mind up.
Well got rid of the trews, I know they are in good hands so no stress. Just the Lunangwa Souths now. Sunny stripped a holding fem for me so I have 14-15 fry in the fry tank now.
Update on the veggie sticks, well after they figured out they were food, they loved them. Only thing i noticed is that they make the tank cloudy. Possibly due to the size of the veggie stick, they cant eat it all at once and they are hard, so they swim around with them for a bit till they soften up. Once they soften up the eat them in a few bites, but it makes quite a mess. Ill probably keep feeding them every now and then for diversity, but it wouldn't make a very good staple.
