WOW! Is this the same shrimp mix that was recently mentioned else where on here, or something different?

              • Basically the same.

And that's not counting the various pellets and krill I feed them.

                • Sunnys mentality "I dont feed my fish once a day, they have breakfast in the morning, 5 snacks before lunch, Lunch, 5 snacks before dinner, Dinner, 5 more snacks, and finally bed time"

Simply put is like feeding pigs

                              • I put this up on another forum quite a while back-

Petros are not really fish. They are a kind of pig that lives in water. Most any high veggie stuff will get eaten if it's offered, but they will eat what they like best first. Don't depend on feeding until they slow down and quit eating to get a feel for how much. I think some of mine might explode if I did that. I feed large zoo med spirulina flakes, H. cichlid exel med & large (floating), a couple kinds of dianchi pellets and HBH soft pellets that Steve at Valley turned me on to recently. They eat the flakes and floating pellets first, then go to grazing the bottom for the sinking pellets. used to soak large and medium pellets but quit when I realized it slowed eating down a little not doing it.....Just be ready to have your food bills go up when you get into petros. What fun!
