Gulf shrimp

There's a decent shrimp mix on here, probably a thread with plenty of different members recipes that they've used.

sounds like I need to find a gulf shrimp supplier. I have been feeding frozen Brine shrimp from the LFS. looks like I will have to find a new hook up y'all!!!

Brine doesn't have enough of an exoskeleton. Too slimy and can cause problems with bloat. Good quality PE brand mysis is great. Krill is great but expensive per/lb. Prawns are great but my fish prefer krill

I just gave some krill to both of my troph tanks. They went crazy for it, I never thought to feed them them shrimp like that. They seem to love it. That is a left over package of krill from my Malawi days. I did not think that they would enjoy it that much.

I don't think I can feed krill to my BG like I feed them gulf shrimp, they can go through a cup of krill each sitting... It's amazing how much food the put away!

That is what I'm feeding them. Seriously, I could stand by that tank and feed a whole 1/2 lb bag of flakes within a day... and they'll eat it all.

Yeah I don't bother with flakes, that stuff doesn't seem filling enough.

Lol. I bet if you starve them a few days then they'll eat it. If you can add garlic to it somehow, they should take it.

I actually did add garlic i crushed a clove and let it sit overnight and fed this evening

make the shrimp mix and see if they go for it
