Do you have no gravel or anything on the bottom of your tank?  I am sure this is much easier to clean.....

Thanks everyone. yea I remove the substrate to releave a bad case of MTS. Fish did not stop breeding and water quality improved so I just left it out.

my biggest female got killed yesterday.she was the biggest fish in the tank about 6". she set up a territory on one end and the up and coming males would challenge her every morning before I turned the lights on. quick little fights. well I guess they fought all day yesterday. had 2 male with damaged lips. she was past her breeding prime. I will probably have to thin out these males. It's starting to get crazy in this tank.

Dude, I am having some of the same problems.

When the males are getting in that 5-7" size, anything that wants territory is doomned, unless its one of them...
