I like the rock setup man.  Those are some tall rocks.

I think a background would help in knocking some glare down, andbring the light out more.

      Otherwise..looking goood man...

yes we have been looking at the 3-D rock foam stuff from Aquaterra.

        http://www.aquaterra-intl.com/images/tang_2.jpg        something like this???

The lights are realy bright actually and you can see the red on them very well. The picture is just terrible. You need to come see them in person.

Geoff,  I am only about 18 miles from you down the beltway.

I will get the other camera out tonight and shoot some pictures

Did you have any of them fighting with each other? I am seeing a little agression here and there but nothing major. Still just watching very close.

              Re: Troph Aquascaping

Nope, I didn't have any major aggression issues.

You are prolly witnessing them establishing their pecking order.  You may some of them lock mouths and their "lips" will look white because of this.  You may also see some chasing going on.  All of this normal.

Now if you see one with messed up scales and fins and sort of just swimming up in a corner, I would prolly remove the fish and put in a hospital tank.  I don't think you will have any major issues.

                Re: Troph Aquascaping

nope have not seen  any fish stressed or isolated yet. Just swimming in circles and some chasing. Figuring this is just them establishing territories and such.

Thats a relief. Will continue to watch. thanks for the info

The fighting is normal and if you are watching them cause of it you will probably never leave the front of the tank!

Mine fight all the time and it's pretty cool actually.....my Ulwiles will actually take flesh from each other which is really awesome!

Derek, do it during the daytime this time, might be some help.

TRopheus fight all the time.  There are times when they have a calm before the storm then BAM!! they are all fighting...then everyone takes a break...

It's when they dont take a break that you start having a problem.  If the chase is relentless, then its time for timeout or have Quoc come over for a good thumping if all else fails...
