The ones you posted I have seen referred to as "yellow" Muragos......I have also seen them referred as Zongwe. Maybe we can get Mike or Geoff to further explain.
Agree, they don't look like those pictures - trust me

Nice pick on the limespots tropheus. I have never seen it before and it looks great. To may understanding these are actually really rare.....but again I'm new to the tropheus world so....what do I know. Anyhow, they look great!
j-w,
Nice pick on the F0 Lufubu's. I been really wanting to get them purple ones from CS. But thats cash money I don't have. Again great pick.....they are in my top 3.
eklikewhoa,
Nice pick also.....you know they have grown on me as of late! Who doesn't love a girl with freckles?
geoff,
I'm with you on this one......I love sp. black from the start. I would love to have a pure WC sp. black bulu point. Some pictures of them are really nice and others are not so nice. I don't know if it's the camera, pound raised, the inbreeding, etc. But a pure WC 30-40 colony in a 6 footer would be great to have. With the deep jet black and the blood red spots.
But when the fish never started showing any signs of dots on the head or the marbling that other Murago had, I started asking a million questions on every forum, every importer that would answer a email. The concensus I got was this...
There are two types of Murago. There is yellow and green. The green is sometimes sold as Lusingu. ALL MURGAO will have the spots on the head. IF...the head has not spots it is Zongwe.
Green Murago "Lusingu"
Yellow Murago
Zongwe
Myerazi
So from that point on the fish was Zongwe because they had no spots on the head.
That fish that Jonathan posted of mine is Zongwe, the fish that Jonathan posted in his wish list is Yellow Murago.

I just want to make one thing clear, I know you are pondraising. There is a huge difference in what I am talking about when your pondraising from wildcaught stock or F-1's, and what fishfarms are mass producing in the US for Tropheus where there is a huge amount of inbreed stock that looks malformned, not true colors, not proper size etc...
