Re: Local Keepers of Tropheus - Index of Variants kept

A lot has happened since my last post.  During the summer, I sold my Chipimbis, and we went with pineapples.  Picked up a small group of them from Alex at Ultimate, then went back 2 weeks later for more to bring the total to 19.  They were small, but their colors were outstanding.  After nearly a month, the hurricane hit and we were without power for 5 days.  Fortunately, we didn’t lose any trophs or eartheaters in the other tank.  By this time, the trophs were about 1-1/2”.  We were shocked to find 5 babies a few days after Ike.  We now have around 40 of them (give or take 3-5, they’re hard to count).  Tank is 135 gallon with PFS bottom, holey rock, a couple of dwarf anubias, and some twisty limbs from Dan at H.A.W.  Tankmates are Kigoma Red Eretmodus and Gold Ocellatus.  I tried to post pics, but I keep getting a message saying I’ve exceeded the max. size.  I don’t know why; I made sure they weren’t too big.  Even tried putting some on smaller than a stamp just for drill and still got the message.  I posted pics before without any problem… any sugg. On what I’m doing wrong?

Well that is cool :)  I am glad I see them going to someone locally whom I can visit time to time to go look at them :)   I think they are the prettiest Tropheus sp Red.
