I honestly thought there would be a lot of last minute orders not last minute order cancellations....interesting.

Honkzz, are you interested in splitting the 16 extra mpulungu, we could take 8 each?

Id like to get more than 12, but dont have room for an extra 16. If someone just wants 12-14 then id take the remaining.

I love all the smack talking going on,Iam willing to go back in on the deal just scared of losing part of my colony.Ive never kept trophs and am leery about losing so many, however Traci if you still need a partner for the kachese order I can go in with you and that way we can still split it 3 ways. The sooner you let me know obviously the better being that we only have untill tomorrow at 11:00 I think???

What smack talk?  Did I smack talk?  If so, I sure didn't mean to.  I posted to the group to let everyone know that we'd be 1 less box in the count.  No big deal.  Juan can't go in on the deal anymore either so it's okay.  Seriously, I understand your concerns, and I don't blame you at all for being wary about it.  I've still got my box with CichlidFan so I'm not losing out on the purchase completely.  And if you think that my remark to CF about breaking his legs if he backed out was passively aggressively targeting you, I promise it wasn't.  That was completely because he and I have been keeping in touch this whole time paranoid that the other is going to back out.  :)  That's all that was.  Plus this whole experience has got me and my husband talking about going to Africa to visit the lakes and the money we save on this deal could end up going to that, so seriously, I'm not upset or angry or bitter.  I hope we can go in on another deal sometime since we appear to have the same taste in fish!

This confuses me a little.  By my going to only 1/4 a box, there are only 14 remaining that are not accounted for.  How many of the 14 are you wanting to get?  I can't tell if it is 7 or just 2...

BTW, I originally went to 1/2 box to make sure they were ordered, once the others also were interested in the remaining, I started reevaluating how many I really needed.  28 is doable, but less than 18 would be better.

Geoff, if the other two mpulungu folks back out, then put me back down for 1/2 box.

                  Thanks.

I dont mind taking 7 if you want to keep the other 7. Im only down for 12 right now, but would like 15-20 if possible.

If anyone is willing to do a 1/4 box of the the syno polli, I can probably do 1/4box.

I am only intersted in doing this if we are short of 15boxes.

We got 5" of snow yesturday that trapt my Daughter and I here in Midland.  So far in three days that makes 12" of snow, and the ice and snow have had the phone lines marginal at best, which is also effecting my Dad's internet service.

It's working right now, so I dont have much time.  I also did not bring my cellphone charger like a dumbass, and I have been turning my phone off to save battery.

It's suppose to be clear and mid 50's in most of the towns I drive back thru to get home.  So...what does all this mean..

I am going to go ahead and extend the deadline to noon Wednesday.  Everyone must pay Mike by no later than 10pm Saturday December 1st, so he can place the order by December 3rd.

I got like 9 PM's to go thru, and before I leave today I will post an update.

                        Take care,

Cesar if you want back in on the Kachese you and Traci need to let me know.  As long as you and Traci buy half the box the rest will be had by Mike, and all three of you split the shipping equally.

Steve, Personally I would not mix Kachese with either Ujiji or Nkonde.  The sp.reds just have too much risk.  The only solution might be would try mixing Ujiji and Nkonde, and then have your other tank for Kachese.  Even then there is some risk.

Customs Fee : $250 split evenly by all members.  $200 is actual customs for the importation of the goods from Africa and is based upon a percentage of the declared value.  The additional $50 is the cost of one tank of gas for Mike's travel to IAH for pickup and return to College Station.  Currently we have (14) People = $17.86 per person ~ $18 each

Shipping Cost : $225 per box spilt by all persons ordering that box equally no matter order size. As long as 12 fish remain in the box ,(aprox.20%), Mike will go in as an equal partner on the shipping.  (1/2 of the Box) must be sold to buyers for it to be imported by Mike. $200 of this cost is the cost by the airlines for the actual shipment of the box on Delta Airlines coming direct from Johannesburg, South Africa to Houston, Texas (IAH). $25 is the charge that Michelle of African Cichlids Aquaculture charges for box and bagging, and ground transport to Johannesburg, South Africa from Lake Tanganikya (Nsumbu), Zambia

Boxing and Bagging Fee : $6.00 per Box, $1 per bag.  This will depend on order size, typical fish bag will be a large bag that can safely transport (15-20)- 4" sized fish. A box can keep about 3-4 large bags.  If you bring your own box and bags, this is not a problem.  Charles has offered boxes to people who wish to come and get them.  Please PM Charles "marauder_77868" for contact information.

Replacement or Additional Fish : Fish to replace DOA's will be sold at cost per fish to import. Group-buy members can also purchase additional fish at this same cost. This is defined as, the purchase price from the list based upon order size and the shipping price of the box divided by the number of fish that came in that box. Additional fish cannot be purchased until all DOA’s and acclimation looses have been given the chance for replacement by the original buyers who imported the box of fish.

Order Deadline : NOON WEDNESDAY November 28th

Payment Deadline : December 1st pay Mike (bethesdaboy) with Cash, Check, Money Order, Pay-Pal, or Credit Card.  Earlier you can make this payment the better.  The order will be placed when 100% paid in full.  If you do not pay or make arrangements with Mike you will be automatically dropped from the order, and next in line gets a shot.

Sales Tax : 8.25% will be applied to all Texas Residents for sale of merchandise.  All tangible items such as fish list price, and items required for bagging and boxing will be taxed. The Customs fee and Shipping cost from Africa cannot be taxed for these are not actual merchandise.
