                        • Hey geoff,

How thick is the acrylic on that 10 footer?

And also, does the sun directly hit on any of your acrylic tanks?

                          • The sun hits pretty good on the 8ft by the door thru that side window.

Both tanks are made from 1/2" thk acrylic.

The 8ft bows a little, but its not noticable except with close examination.

Like I said before, the new tenacor's are made with 3/4" thick top and bottom which adds A LOT of stiffness to them.

Adrian has a newer Teneacor and his does not bow at all.

                            • Yeah, I read the height matters a lot too. That 8 footer is like 30'' compared to the 10 footer which is 24'' tall.

Be careful with the sun hitting that 8 footer. It might turn it yellow over time. Some of the new tank makers are saying this can't happen with newer acrylic tanks cause they add something to it....I forget the name.

                              • Solution, dont buy weak tanks.
