Cats out the bag.
Here is the full story:
Mike had imported a group of tropheus sp. red "chiwina" about 3 years ago. I have seen the spelling as "chiwina" and/or "chiwena." These fish are not in the aqua log and all I know is that reportedly they are collected near Chimba, Zambia.
Scientific Name: Tropheus sp. "Red" (Chiwina) Pronunciation: tr-f-s Habitat: Shallow Precipitous Rocky Habitat Diet: Herbivore Gender Differences: Monomorphic Breeding: Maternal Mouthbrooder Temperament: Mildly Aggressive Conspecific...
CF does have a picture of them. The Aqualog I have is not undated and it can be a bit dated by now. From the looks of it they are collected at some intermediate populations between the main populations, Ndole and Chimba maybe. I see coloration from both on the ones I have.
Ad also thinks it's a true variant.

From my understanding, OW did bring some on a few years ago as well.
Either way, I started with 6 fishes. I just delivered 28-30 fry to Mike yesterday.
Plus, I got another female holding. I maybe keep a small group for myself but I don't have the room for them as of now.
Should I get a new tank?
I ate my fish that died.
