I had an Nkonde spit right when Ike hit. I have counted 5 fry in the tank.

Juvinile fish are brown and yellow barred with yellow cheek, that developes into red or orange later in life.

Males - Turn "Seagrey" color

The annectens are the only Tropheus that is Dimorphic, which means the males are a different color than the females.
The annectens and poli variants are the only ones with "forked-tail"

They are pretty cool fish, with deep blue eyes, and can be rather agressive if not in a tank longer than 4ft.

In a 4ft tank these guys were killing each other, then I moved them to a 5ft and all's pretty quiet except when the Beta Male tries to color up, then he gets slapped back into place.

I got a 125 tank only, Oceanic Cherry Oak - $180

You can get a Andy Custom stand from fish land, stained in Cherry for about $200,

You'll need tops and lights, and I got about (3) Aqua Clea 110's that I will let go cheap.

does anyone here ever simply trade their fry for other fry?  Or do you guys mostly sell them straight up?  I just got 27 chimba reds and they are already some fry in the tank.  Would anyone be interested in trading fry of another species?  I dont really care about the whole F1 versus WC like some of you guys are.  I just like the way they look!!!!!

Pulled 30 Ilangi fry from the tank the other day
Ulwile fry are making a come back after emptying them twice now.
