He'll say its a 68 model RS/SS only 500 ever made, and only the orange ones had this or that, and the only difference between that one and this is the block casting had this and made this horsepower etc.... Then go and ask someone else what year is that and they'll say 60's or 70's model if they even know that. They may even have no clue what it is...
It is possible for some experienced people to be able to tell. And if you have a good couple reference manuals its not all that hard really, but it takes having the right experience and the right tools.
