It's normal. Let them be. I seen the same thing in my tanks a number of times.

Take that rock in the center off the back glass and move it forward. Put some boulders behind it so to help it stay standing up.

Then see what happens.

Before you give it to a local petstore, box him up and send him to me.

My fish will handle him no problem..
