Carbon bottle or whole house filtration (which is just a big carbon bottle) filters the water like a PUR (except it will last a lot longer) -- a PUR filter will get you about 3 water changes in a 75 and its exhausted. I real carbon bottle will take years to exhaust.
You are removing all the impurities before it hits the water.
Yes filtered water without Prime is better than tap water with Prime.
Please understand Prime converts what is bad into something that fish can tolerate.. Not remove it.

    What fish do Jesper have
180 WC T. Moorii Chilambo +1 Petro trewavasae.
    110
Cyps, WC Xeno Spilopterus Kipili WC/F1/F2 T. sp red Kiku
    58 S. Decorus

Yeah man that was me...thx for the compliment. I personally view my tanks below par compared to two particular fellow boxers. make sure you do your reading up on these fish before jumping into a colony of them. they are amazing fish and very interesting. Good luck in your quest to find the right colony for you.

And I agree Geoff has to be up there. Hard to mess with what he got. Plus he just been doing it for SOOOOOOOOOO long!

Randal, you need to give yourself a lot more credit.

                You are doing great.

Thai, dont be telling this guy to overstuff his fishes, and then have them stunted. Follow the standards that have 10+ years of iterations to get to those numbers.

I'm not saying stuff them like I do! )

                  I agree 70+ ilangi in a 75g was a bit much!

Just saying he should get more than 15. If he is bringing in WC fishes then he can count on losing one or two. Next thing you know he is down to 12 and asking why his fishes are killing each other.

I still like 20 in a 75-90g and don't think that's to far of the standard.

p.s. Randell should give himself more credit. Keeping petros is not joke!
