Couple of things...
1. 12K lights will pop yellow bigtime. Those lights will be great on these fish.
Now the important part...
2. Food, you need to take it easy on what your feeding them. You are already playing with fire on highly recomended guidelines.
a. Always feed the same food the seller is feeding atleast for a week to 2 weeks. This way you know for sure, if they are not eating it is not the food. You need to transition them slowly to other food types. Last time I checked, Mike does not feed NLS, he feeds H.B.H Veggie Graze and or Ken's Fish Tropheus Lover Flake. Sometimes he feeds OSI spirulina pellets, which would possibly explain the larger pellet.
b. Whenever you first recieve or transport Tropheus it is highly recomended not to feed them for the first 24 hours. And if you do feed within the first 24 hours it is extremely reduced amount. And when you do feed them the first few times, it is only a about half your normal. The stresses of capture, transport, change in water conditions, and re-adjustment of hierarchy is a lot of stress for them.
I would take it easy for a few days. I know its really exciting when you get new fishes, but trust me a few days of patience in the beging will be huge payoffs to your success during this time.
Best of Luck with your new fishes!!!!
Now post some pics!!!
