Tips for building a colony back up?

what kind of sand do you use...I like how it coats your rocks in all your pics. its like powedered sugar.

I got the sand for free from Brian.

It's sugar size aragonite. It sticks to the rocks more than normal cause there is algae on the rocks which the sand attaches too.

I'm about to mix in some bigger normal size aragonite and see how it looks.

but these polli bulu points hold on to their black and white markings forever basically.

those polli's are relly nice. i like the stripes on the adult and the zebra look of the fry. very nice.

hows the rebuiling the colony? how many do you have now with the fry?

Got a total of 15 maybe. The fry are in main tank now. Some may die. If all lives the total count will be 15.

From the way it seems, the male and female get along well and breed a lot actually. Right after the female is done holding the male starts showing off to her again. I'm guess she will hold when she gets back into condition. 1 to 2 months.

update:

Went home to do a water change on my tanks today......BAM out of no where I see the polli female holding again!

This is the 3rd time she has held for me since getting her in May. Seems like she holds for a month, conditions for a month, and then holds again.

I'm strip her early this time, 7-10 days of holding, in hopes that she does not get to weak from holding another full 30 days.

So I got bored and stripped her early. I'll try to update with pictures weekly to show how the eggs progress to fry.

Here is a picture of the eggs in the tumbler. I just got them out like 15 mins ago. I can see little heads and tails on each of the eggs. Hope they all make it.
