The HLA will give certificates to buyers and sellers of the high dollar fish.

Where exactly is Aqua Zoo? I know it's on Highway 3 near El Dorado but does anyone have an address? North or south of El Dorado? East or west of Highway 3? Sorry, I  been to Webster only one time(got lost), and I get lost easily.

                Re: April meeting

The meeting was fantastic! Mark and KC gave first class scientific presentations that were the highlight of the meeting. Mark talked about the genetics of cross breeding lyre tail and sail fin mollies to produce lyre tail sailfin mollies. KC talked about the effect of different teas made from animal manures on plant growth.

The auction went well. The high dollar fish was a pair of hybrid swords breed by Bob Baker and sold to Mark Steblein for $7. The clubs portion of the auction proceeds was $32, mostly club donations which I willl put with the other dollar and bury in a tin can in the back yard.

We held an election and elected Max Smith - president, Ken Steblein - vice presicdent, and Bob Baker - treasurer.  They all ran un opposed. The offices of secretary and one other board member are still vacant.

The logo contest was extended another month to allow more time for entries. This was the general consensus of opinion.

Members and visitors in attendance were: Prosper, Shannon, Max, Frank, Shelby, Ken, Mark, KC, and Bob.

                  Re: April meeting

I came home with 5 new trios of livebearors.
                  Wild Mollies
                  Salt & pepper mollies
                  Black & gold marble mollies
and 2 batches of silver mollies........

Wouldn't you know it.  When I got home I dumped them into an unused 10g tank, cleaned the front glass and to my horror saw a small pastell betta fry running for its life.   I managed to net the single survivor and move it to a blue betta fry tank.   No problem finding it in a crowd there.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

                    I haven't kept mollies for 30 years.....
I put them in local hard water (surface water from Sheldon Resevoir)
I added a handfull of sea salt and and handful of Java Moss to their quarinteen tank.
I plan on feeding them the flake food I bought for my Africans (high vegatable content)

                    Any suggestions ?
