HAS Auction Date, Sunday, June 17th

We are heading back now. I pickers up a pair of adult koi Angels, a pair lemon Jake's, 3 big Java ferns, 1 water lily, maybe a few other things on the dollar auctions. John got plants, lots of holey rock, angels and cichlids. Jim got plants, cowries, syn. Multis, a flat rock, and a bag of crap that I bid on when I stole his bidding card.

The driftwood sold really well too!

I had a great time and came out with some excellent items. I was able to get 3 awesome golden koi angels, 4 cute little corys, 4 beautiful emperor tetras and the main thing I was looking for, a great piece of driftwood.

Big thanks to the auctioneers for a great job. I especially enjoy Charles's wit and humor on the mic. The two young people carrying the items around the room for all to see we're also tremendous helpers. These auctions get better and better each time and I'm already looking forward to the next one.

There were so many nice things at the auction- But I stuck to my plan of selling, not buying, and just ended up bringing one plant home (well, that and the bonus "mystery pond box" which scared the crap out of me when I got home and thought there was a dead bird in it!!)

I guess it's been so long since I've met up wtih you guys- I didn't really recognize anyone, so kind of kept to myself (except for lunch with Nick!).... I'll try to make it out more often :)

Sorry about that. We don't have many girls in SELAS, so we forget how to act. Also jim is missing a pair of ob peacocks. Was there a lost and found?

5:23 AM....getting ready for departure to Houston.

Those who live in Houston and say it is too far because it is across town make me sick!!!

Baton Rouge to Houston and back in one day is a healthy day of driving.
