Yeah, there were some very temping exotics..I was so tempted to bid on the rare mouthbrooding betta colony, but realized I had no room..haha until next time..
Currently fishless, but a proud mama to a musk turtle hatchling.

How much did the bettas go for?
Fish are people too, they just have gills.

Just curious, did we cross paths at the auction? Would have loved to say "Hi". I was the guy with the black T-shirt with a Godzilla design, green cap with a horned lizard logo and dark green camouflage cargo shorts.

I got a Caudiopunk, Guppies, RO unit, intake tubes, snails, a plant, the ugly fish pot with a plant in it, Dainichi, stand, and some ghost shrimp. Not my best haul, but not a bad one. I also got some really cool Cichlid News mags.

I was actually sitting across the aisle from you at one point. I didn't want to distract your bidding. I was wearing black pants and a purple top. (I brought my Mom - she has white hair and is in her seventies).

Speaking of bettas, I got a white female and a redish color female. The second one was pretty big.

I also got 3 pairs of Labidochromis sp. "Mbamba" and 2 pairs of Hongi. THey were super nice. One female Mbamba didn't make it past tonight. She was pretty beat up. She turned white by the time i got home from work.

I wish I could find out who had the show ngaras . They were awsome in color. If anyone knows, give me a hollar. I think they belong to a John something if memory servs me correctly..

The "redish female" was out of my Black/Orange Bi-color line and the males did quite well this past show season - I was national champ in Dark Bodied Bi-colors as well as light bodied bi-colors. Unfortunately the bladk/orange females look muddy and never showed well while the light-bodied (Cambodians) won a couple of "Best of Show" awards.

Those girls are large but I don't think they have any "Giant" genes in their makeup just live food twice a day.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Sounds like you raised my last girlfriend, too.

I snagged a cool FOTAS t-shirt and an unused bidder card.
(Had to leave early. Too bad the auction started an hour late...)
