What I've found out over the years is that something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay...just my 2 cents...I really appreciated your help
Also...I'd like to know what shop you're getting that amount from....I have some fish to sell...lol

I know I was slightly dissapointed in the auction. I made sure...with the help of Tim too..THANK YOU AGAIN TIM AN FIONA...that all my fishes were properly bagged, an doubled, labeled correctly, an placed out in a timely manner. Some people did not obey the regulations...an from what I could tell, not punished either for dead fish or improper bagging/packaging, or leaking bags. The prices were disapointing too. Although as a buyer, it was nice to get some good deals, there is a big difference in a deal, an a steal! I brought some guppies, all were pure strain, an didn't even get close to what they were worth, even pulled a few out of the sale. Same with the plecos...I brought 2 longfin brown females, a mated pair of albino super longfins, a L180 wild caught female bn, an some L144 blue eyed yellows bns, and some albino short fins...an ended up pulling most all of them too. I am sorry, but $2 for a L144, $20 for a albino LF Pair, an $15 for a wild caught L180...is RIDICULOUS!!!!! I could make more money on them getting store credit/cash wholesale prices.

The lable said "breeding pair of platys" and one was belly up!! It's shocking that this seller was allowed to participate. That said, the majority of sellers adhered to the guidelines and made the show successful.
Some of us were at a meeting before the auction and were late. The GHAC auction was started at 11:20, but it was an auction that was mainly for the Houston area. The HAS auction started at 11:45-12:00, but it was for the entire state of Texas and even people from other states participated. It is hard to get that many people to start at 11:00 on the dot.

Check-in I promise you can start at 7am and you will still have people putting stuff on tables by 11:30.... and auctions like this one.. no matter how much you prepare to be ready to start at 11.. never can. At 11 usually EVERYONE wants to talk to the Auctioneer at that moment about this and that.. Since I have held two auctions myself with the assistance of others, we ran into the same issues as HAS has had.. I do not fault them at all for being late.

What do you mean? Were there not many BNs offered? Or did you just win them all with hardly a fight? )

wished I could have made it. But I doubt they would have had the fish I want. I like to get Geos and South and Central Americans. Maybe I can find some at the fish stores around town.
