As long as the "business part" of club meetings can be kept short, sweet and to the point, I see no reason why all club meetings cannot be as much fun as the meeting last friday night. In my opinion, all future club meetings should be modeled after that meeting. I understand the need to have some organized structure as far as the collection of club dues and discussions over future aspirations, plans, projects, notices, votings, whatever, but for the most part, I hope they continue to be as fun and project a casual environment.
change of topic because it won't let me post a new thread...so here it goes lol I have my 55 and another 20 set up and cycling.
Soon the angels will have a HUGE tank for their little bodies. They are SOOOOO cute!!! It took 2 hours with the hose... (well water no chlorine lol) I treated the water anyway and I have used filters. Still need a 24" light and a full 55 lid, but they look awesome. I feel very successful right now . Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. I also hope Mike is relaxing lmao.

well,i just got back from fotas, which was awesome, and thought i would take a look at the box to see what went on over the weekend.hmmmmmm.scott,i guess i am directing this at you.i dont think i know you,but i go to the auctions and may have seen or met you.my name is rob.lived in houston all my life.been keeping fish 35 years.have too many tanks.not much of a socializer, but do like fish people.been a member of h.a.s. for 30 years.for me,the main benefit of a fish club is the auctions.i never really concidered h.a.s. a niche club.dont really see how the overall local freshwater community will be better served with 2 clubs.to me,1 strong club would be best, what its called does not really matter to me,although i do have some sentimental attachment towards h.a.s. has someone in h.a.s. made you mad.over the years i have seen alot of people fall by the wayside because of fish club politics.just a few thoughts.need to let my fish out.look forward to meeting you.rob teague
True enough, Soni and Darbex acquired my German Red Breeding Pair today. Talk about a sweet couple.
Soni, I'm glad to hear they are doing well.
Let's see, that's another tank empty. I don't think I've ever had this many empty tanks...hmmmm.
Anyways...to stay on topic....I can't wait till the next meeting at Mike's place. I had to leave early, primarily because I had to be at work for 3am. All in all, I got about 3 hours sleep over the weekend. After Soni and Darbex left this afternoon, I got a bite and crashed.
