Glad everyone had a good time, and the fish are doing well! Mine made out great, all 6 of them. Heehee. Except for the ones I tried to save. Despite the mouth-to-mouth, the barb and the cichlid didn't make it. :(
But the least killies are happy! I made a HUGE leap of faith and just put them in my native tank, no QT, since David said they'd been in QT for over a month.
Tim - the barb died before I got out the door. Sorry, I didn't get your message until this afternoon (I had to listen to 19 of them...yikes) but thanks for the advice.
I had a wonderful time! Thanks to all who helped out. Especially my own personal servant.

I put all my purchses to good use, see my thread in the Planted Tank Forum to see how it all looked once the tank was set up.

With my rocks all I ever do is powerwash them at the Carwash, and then chase each hole with a pipe cleaner and brush off whatever the powerwash could not.
Then put them in the tank.
I rock dig in the Burnet Area and around Lake Buchanan

If you do pick up the holy rock (I'm going tubing in about a month, and was planning on grabbing some from my friends deer lease) you just have to soak it before you use it, right? How long does it have to soak for? What do you look for to know that it's 'ready' to go in the tanks?
