Auction is getting closer. We hope to see many familiar faces as well as unfamiliar. The last one was alot of fun and we hope you join us on Saturday, May 23rd.
I am attemping to add the auction flyer...hopefully this works. OK...it didn't.

I'm glad you asked, Glen. The GHAC used the money made at the auction to recoup the costs for preparing for the auction (location, supplies, etc...) and to pay for some of the food/drinks at the GHAC meetings. Some of the money has been used to file paperwork assoiated with the GHAC being a "not-for-profit" organization.
Keep in mind that the GHAC only gets 10% of the auction price, with a few notable exceptions that donate the proceeds. The individual (or group) that auctions off the items keeps 90%. By the time that costs are all paid for, we're not talking about alot of money.
The main purpose behind the GHAC auction is the same as any other GHAC event: TO HAVE FUN!
