Attention "GHAC Auction Volunteers":
We would like to encourage you to attend a meeting Wednesday evening, May 20th at 7:30pm. We will review the process so its all fresh in everyones mind.
If you would like to help but can't make the meeting, that's ok. Please just contact a GHAC officer to let us know.
If you are interested in helping, you can help for the entire event or for an hour.
We will be posting a seperate thread that will include an address for those that have not been to Tim's place. (Armthehomeless)

Hope you can make it.Originally posted by tnguyen View PostI will be On Call duty that weekend, but will try my best to make this one. Sounds like fun!
Kinda funny because I was about to post that some of our friends from NASH are supposed to be in attendance and not empty handed.
There will be some nice aquatic plants in the Auction.

Whatever you make it... most use their initials (just keep it short). You could do TRES (for Treston). We aren't picky. The key is that no sellers have the same seller code.
I'll be using ARM.

OK. So, if I had 5 bags of anacharis the first one would be (1), the second one would be (2), and so on. Right?

GHAC members get bidder cards for free.
On the sellers forms, the item numbers are to be able to keep track or each individual item. For example, Lets say you bring a male betta and a female betta to sell - separately. The male betta would be fishboyt-1 and the female betta would be fishboyt-2. The reason for this is so that we can keep track of each individual item and record how much it sold for.

If I'm a member, do I still have to buy the bidder card? On the seller's form, what is the item # box for?

HI there.Originally posted by kevinly View Postso like im looking to find some cichlids for cheap. i never been to a GHAC before so how does it work? any fees to get in?
Its free to get in but if you want to be able to bid on items...you will need to buy a Bidder Card for $5 at the front desk. We start around 11am but you can come later. If no one is at the front desk, you can pick up a Bidder card at the Check out table.
Items will be on display...layed out on several tables for you to look at and each item is usually walked down the center isle while being bid on. Your items that you have won are placed together behind the auctioneer till you are ready to check out.
All thats left is for you to pay. Cash, Check or credit.
Tell your friends. The best advertisement is by word of mouth.
