Damn Jon -- I missed you by like an hour... as you posted this message I was in the store looking around.. I picked up a 48" light bulb for my Odessea 48 T6 light strip (I wanted to replace the plant light with the Artinic) to get some better lighting in the tank... and I picked up a EX350 so I can get some more water movement in my tanks.   I have really been needing that for a while :)
Troung does have a good selection on Tanganyika fish this time around.   Tropheus Bemba and Kaiser (I believe)... and a few other cool fish too.. Blue Cyps too...

Man,

I used to travel from Northeast Houston to go to Tropiquarium.

We only had two pet stores on that side of town. Fish mart off 59 and tidwell and another off Uvalde

I stopped by here today on my lunch break. The tanks were really clean, although I did see a bit too many dead fish throughout the store. They had quite a few tropheus, f1 petro trewavasae, texas tembwe, tricolor and orthognathus. They also had a handful of smaller cyps and calvus. Other than that, I mainly stopped by to just check out the place and pick up some food. I would return.

I bought some supplies today and I got a very good deal on a wet/dry system. If you needing any supplies you should at least check with them and as always the service was excellent.

i went to xtremefish today they have new shipment of tangs. bentho. tricoti, eretmodus cyanostictus, spathodus erythrodon, tanganicodus irsacae, para brieni, alot petrochromis. i bought 2 lg wild troph. moori kaiser.

It was called "The Fish Store" as I recall. Tropiquarium was at Bissonnett at Fondren.

I think I remember....also remember a nice saltwater wholesale looking place off of 59 feeder somewhere as well....memory wants to say it's the fireplace store now.

There was also a saltwater store on Beechnut somewhere between Hillcroft and Gessner, now an antique store. I also remember one on I-10 and Beltway 8, near Petsmart and another on I-10 near Bunker Hill or Campbell Rd.

Just out of curiousity...does anyone else remember when there WAS a store at the corner of Bellaire and Fondren?

Was that Tropiquarium, owned or managed by one of the Senske brothers    I used to go there frequently in the 90's. There and Aquamart, which were very close to where I live in Meyerland.

I dont ever recall a fish place at Bellaire and Fondren.   I know there is a place right down the street at Bellaire and Gessner.

Lucy there is not a LFS at Fondren & Bellaire.
