          Delock,

          define maximum.......

The fish didn't originate from me. I was simply the previous owner.

Why should Dan sell the fish for the value of his trade to John? That is assuming it was a trade of course. That is no different than buying fish for wholesale and turning around and selling them for wholesale to the public. That is just breaking even and you can't stay in business that way. Where is the value of the upkeep for the fish in the meantime? He should definitely sell the fish for more than the value of the trade. The amount of markup is entirely up to him. You don't have to buy the fish. Someone will come along and purchase the fish eventually.

Geoff, please don't volunteer info that my wife and I have shared with you. I know a lot of info I could share as well. But I choose not to. You know how I am. :)

            Delock,

Since you know how John kept his fronts, please let me know where they are all located throughout the house and garage. They weren't all kept together. But your answer will let me know just how well you know John.

For this discussion you was the owner of the blue petro. SO when I say originate from you i talking about you had it first then sold it in the trade.

Why should Dan make 150 off the fish? Either way it go he still making a profit if he sell the fish for 150, 20, or 500 dollars.

And dont worry..Geoff is not the only one who know information.

You have no idea what information I was referring to. That is why Geoff pm'd me and we discussed.

You're assuming too much info. You and we do not know the value of the trade made between the two. Therefore, we cannot assume how much profit is to be made by his asking price. I never assume anything.

Ultimate Fish to name one. Also, check your local fish stores. If they carry them, they're listed for that price. Fortunately, you and I are smart enough to order from online vendors.

But we can work with your price of $175. That is the going rate for a 5" wild caught zaire. Now how is that any different for a wild caught blue giant petro at 10 inches?

because in my oppinion petrochromis is not as expensive as moba, kitumba,or kapampa.i haven't really seen blue giants for sale, but just about every variant is under a 100.00,except the red bulu and sometimes the longola.

I understand your point of view. That's why I included the details of the size.

I was the first moderator on trophs.com. During that time, I posted a lot of pics. I believe there are several of this fish, the blue giant. If you care to search the fish. :)

This thread has really gotten off topic. I think it might need a little cleaning up. :)
