Wanted: Siamese Algae Eaters

I'm looking to buy a few (3-4) Siamese Algae Eaters.  Must be species Crossocheilus siamensis.  I am NOT looking for Oto Cats, Flying Fox, Chinese Algae Eaters, Gold Algae Eaters, BN Plecos, Shrimp, etc.  :wink:   I've looked at Fish R' Us and Ultimate Fish and they did not have any, if you know of a store that definitely has them in stock, feel free to post that info here but it's a pretty far drive for me to go to any of the Houston stores, especially the ones on the south/southwest side of town.

I'd prefer them 3" or under, but would consider ones slightly bigger.  Don't want full grown ones either.

Thanks for the awesome link!  As I scrolled down the page, I kept saying "Ooo no! THAT looks more like what I have."  Unfortunately for you, I think I have a CAE.  Good luck finding the Siamese.... I know they're generally more difficult to locate.

I have two of them, they are less than 3''. Can sell or trade them. See attached pic.

I called all 3 places; Fish Gallery does not have any (might get some in Thursday, so I'll call again), City Pets didn't have any and Fish Ranch II (I assume that's the store you meant) said they had some, so I drove all the way out there and they had a couple but the guy wouldn't sell them to me because there were dead ones in the tank and he thought they may not be in good health.

Still looking for 3-4 of these, no larger than 2 or 2 1/2 inches.

Sometimes petsmart will sell them.  I found mine at fish-r-fun don't know if he has any now though
