The Leleupi get pretty aggressive and territorial when they get older, you may want to limit your tank to just a couple. I have two in a 125 and they constantly pick on each other, I have two in another tank (150 gallon) and they pick on each other too, even though they are a pair.
so in short, I would say just two or three at most in anything less than 55 gallons.

I've got six total, and one pair that I know of, but I'm not keeping any of my fish specifically as breeders. If they do breed and I find little ones, cool. If not, still cool, just as long as everyone gets along.
