  • Oceanic 110 Gallon RR Tank, Stand, and Canopy, Setup

Really nice oceanic 110 Gallon RR Tank... 60"x18"x24... Very good condition... no nicks or scratches... sturdy wood stand and canopy (no particle board)... wet/dry filter/fuge rated at 175 gallons... mag 7 return pump... all plumbing... the stand and canopy could use re-painting... I'll professionally refinish it in the color of buyers choice for the asking price. dual bulb 48" light strip included... was a freshwater tank before

    $700 OBO or trades considered...

    Thanks

do you buy all these tanks off craigs list for next to nothing and turn around and sell them for more to the people on this board.
i think this may be the case because it seems like i seen some of these tanks before on craigs list. i apologize if i am wrong but if i am right what you are doing is short stopping every body on here from getting a good deal on a used tank. i would not recommend buying from this guy as he is priced double compared to the deals you can "some times" find on craigs list.

I can honestly say that fluval has more fish tanks & equiptment for sale then anyone else on here. It does make a person wonder were it all comes from.

Agreed that he has alot of stuff for sale, but that is harsh to recommend that no one buy tanks from him.  You appearantly don't know the story behind it so why say anything at all except, "Gee, you selling alot of stuff and kinda high too" or maybe ask where it is all coming from if you are that interested.

If you don't like what you see on his thread then skip it.  From what I can see, he hasn't done anything wrong.

So relax, have a cold one.  Come on by the GHAC meeting on Sunday and have some fun.

Re: Oceanic 110 Gallon RR Tank, Stand, and Canopy, Setup

fishlover... i must defend myself a little here... my butt is a little sore... lol

you very well may have seen some of the things i sell on craigslist... or ebay... or at petco... or aquarium world...  maybe the greensheet or on chron.com... probably in tropical fish magazine too... they all came from somewhere... some from here even... sometimes i buy entire systems to get 1 or 2 select items that i want... then sell the rest.. this tank was purchased as part of a 37 tank deal... if you wanted it, you should have bought it... it was on the market for months before i saw it and bought it... only reason i'm selling it is i just struck a deal on a 600 gallon tank that will require a ton of cash to make happen... this 110 was headed for my living room... same with the bow... i've been dying to fill it up with saltwater and put fish in it... but i hadn't found the lighting i wanted yet... i think you'll find that most everything i sell regardless of where it came from is sold at a fair price...

i owe you no explanation but i'll give it anyway since you decided to put in your two cents worth... i've been in this hobby for 28 years... met alot of good folks along the way... not one person have i held a gun to their head or threatened them to buy something from me... i dont cold call people to force them to buy aquariums or anything else... what i sell on here or anywhere else it basically to defray the cost of the hobby... believe me, when you spend like i do.. selling a few tanks just wont begin to cover it all... that being said, 1 week after i purchased this group of tanks, i bout the entire inventory of a closed aquarium service... once again to get a few select pieces... now passing the rest on to fish lovers everywhere...

i also trade professional services such as computer networking, surveillance camera systems, pest control, web hosting and development... usually to the benefit of the seller as much of that is labor and i have leeway there...

now, as soon as you pony up the funds to buy 90 to 100 tanks and 50 or so boxes of aquarium stuff, you can rent a moving truck and pay someone to help get it all to the storage facility that you rented... then spend days cleaning and sorting it all out and then list for sale things for pennies on the dollar, have dozens of people come and get goods and leave happy... only to come back time and time again... and still not always get even your initial investment out of it... then you can start to realize that what i do is all on the up and up... i sell at fair market prices or less... nothing i list ever lasts too long... if i do somehow miss a value... you'll see my prices drop to move the item... i do have alot of stuff i don't want or need, i will sell this stuff, and someone will buy it... the rest i'll give away, or discard it...

this was your first post here, i have no idea who you are... i invite you to buy something form me, or sell me something i may want or need... one thing thats always free is advice... and i give alot of it... my advice to you is to worry about what you are doing not me... i welcome people into my home, i drive to meet people sometimes...all to satisfy their need to buy or sell..

if you dont want what i have for sale... thats fine... dont buy it... if you get a good deal on something i need, i'll offer you a handsome profit and buy it from you... that goes for anyone out there...

i'll tell you this much, ask around to those who have done business with me... i doubt many are unhappy... and if i know of anyone who is, i'll do my best to remedy that issue... i pride myself on honesty and integrity, i tell it like it is... wont hear a lie out of my mouth, that i can assure you... anyone who has asked, i have told where i get my stuff.. it's no secret... i'm not sniping deals from anywhere... everyone here has the same access to the same resources.. if i find a good deal, i buy it... plain and simple.. i don't think about it, i don't worry about it either... when i price my stuff that i sell, it's guaranteed to be lower than "ABC fish store" or "fishyplaces.com"... much lower... i count the ads that go by on craigslist...  there are 50 ads for someone trying to sell their tanks for what they paid for it 2 years ago... the sad truth is they just aren't worth that much... all of my prices are best offer or trades... once in a blue moon do i state a price is firm... when you are buying from me, more than likely you'll end up with stuff i throw in for free... multiple item discounts... etc... see how many time "petco" does that for you...

i urge you and anyone else to take a look at what i have, if you don't want it, don't buy it... you want to make an offer, i'm all ears... got something to trade.. send me a pic... in all my business endeavors i pride myself on customer satisfaction...  nothing different here... the only  issues i cant resolve are the ones i know nothing about...

              one last thing...

I want to thank everyone who has done business with me.. no matter how big or small the transaction... buying or selling... i truly appreciate you.

              Thanks
              Tracy aka Fluval

well, i think we all get an idea where he's coming from now... he asked a question, i answered it in detail... he refuses to read it...

free undergravel filters to everyone while they last...
free freshwater substrate... while it lasts...
                    air pumps... free

and someone pleeeze get fishlover some cheese... i'll bet if he was selling something i wanted he'd take my money if i was first to respond...

Tracy sorry for my post of wondering were it all comes from.
As I have done the same thing once or twice myself.

It is true that this hobby can get eat up some cash & nothing wrong with trying to help pay for it while helping others out at the same time.

I'd like to get in on this, .....Let's try to remember that there is nothing wrong with speaking your mind or making a buck. You two both have a right to do what you do. Be tolerent of others if you feel it is warrented, and be forgiving of those should it be required.
