  • For Trade: Freshwater Plants: Rotala rotundifolia and Java Moss

Just did a big trim and have a bunch of each to trade. I'm looking specifically for ground cover plants, but I will consider other plants, freshwater shrimp or whatever, make me an offer. I'm all set on fish.

I'm 99% sure that the Rotala is rotundifolia. It's GREAT for background plants and grows like crazy, and it gets super tall- I've had them up to four feet before and there was no sign of stopping. You can also plant the trimmings and they will grow. There are about 30 trimmings total ranging in sizes from an inch to a little under a foot.

The Java Moss is nice, green and lush. It's a grapefruit sized amount.

See pics and send me a PM if you have something to trade! I'm in the Clear Lake area.

Everything came from this tank, low tech that I dose daily and use home made root tabs in. The tank is super healthy with a UV filter. There are snails in this tank, so you might get some hitch-hikers.

Still available. I wanted to give locals first crack. I'll list it on national sites in a day or so if I don't get any responses. Thanks!

No problem. You're going to need some osmocote time-release fert and empty gel caps. More details here

No. Just an elaborate hoax involving me making a dummy account on another forum two years ago. April Fools!

Yes, it works. It's just chemistry. Look around on aquarium plant forums. A lot of people do it.

There's also a cheap substitute to Excel Flourish.

I use the same principals to pay a tiny fraction for chemicals in my Pool. Like I said, it's chemistry. :)
