I love these fish.  I do know that I need to thin them out a bit as they grow.  They mate for life once they pick a mate.  They are awesome parents.  AND you do not have to pay a shipping fee lol.
There is a poor video taken via my phone.
I am offering a few trio sets for $20.  I can not guarantee gender as of yet.  If you do a search you will find this is an awesome deal.  They are still juvies and all I CAN guarantee is their health.  Right now they are in 80 degree water with driftwood. plants, and cichlid crushed shell substrate.  I can bring these to the meeting on Friday... :-)

These fish are very fun to watch.  They are bottom dwellers (even though mine swim up when I feed -nothing to bother them in the tank)  They share the tank with kenyi who don't seem to mind their neighbors.  They kind of hop around (mal-formed air bladder, perfect for high currents).  I am so into these guys I can just sit and watch their interaction for a long time.  No takers?

or course I could.  I will get you one with a bigger hump and two with smaller humps (the females won't have as large of a hump so it is a guess at this point but with one bigger hump and two without or with smaller humps you have a better chance or at least one pairing) - DOn't worry CF, I'll do the same for you :-)

*clearing my throat and climbing up on my box* These are some amazing fish... I want to keep them all, however, in order to provide a better atmosphere and encourage pairing, I am thinning the crop.  I love all of my fish (probably too much) and will gladly do my best to educate, describe, and encourage.  These peaceful fish claim a territory and simply run anyone else off.  I haven't seen any nipping or biting - even when I put kenyi in the tank that were 1/4 their size.   I can sit quite a long time watching their interaction.  I am only selling a limited number of trios.  So far 2, potentially 3-4 trios are spoken for.   They aren't fully grown yet.  I would list them as larger than fry (pre-teen), several are what I would call juvie/teenager size.  They are predicted to reach 3" (males) at full growth (although I have read one account of them growing larger - mine are anywhere from almost an inch to an inch and a half).   Anyone who knows me, knows I feed my fish very well.  They love mysis shrimp (I feed frozen), bloodworms (also frozen), regular flake food, and are now coming up to meet my hand as I feed.  These are reported to be F1 buffalos and I have already fed them medicinal flakes to make sure there are no parasites, etc.  Anyway... I WILL bring them (the ORDERED buffalos) to the meeting...saving us both the trouble of scheduling a time to meet.  *nudge nudge* You know they are cute!!!

After looking at them for so long they grow on you...

I have to figure out if I can house them with anyone of my tanks cause what I had planned for them will not work. If you have people lined up for them by all means please skip me.

MB - you know you want a Trio :)
They would work well in any of your tanks that have a current in them....  and you know one of these days you could upgrade a tank too... to more than 40G... I am thinking one of these days WE ALL are going to have to make a collection to get you one of those Petco $1/Gallon 55G tanks...  so you can keep something besides small fishies :)

My apartment only has so much room...maybe I could work something out, like take out my bed and just sleep on the couch from now on for some more room? It is one of those fold-away bed couches...hmm...
