My 20gal planted is about ready for occupants, and I was thinking about Enders, but I've called around and can't find any. Is there any place in the area that carries them ? Anyone ever tried getting some (or any other fish) from Aquabid ?

Re: Any place in the area have true Enders ?
Howdy Kidslikefish,
We have some endlers, sold down on our stock to local fish friends and to a Austin fish store. How many do you need? If it is just a trio we might have that. You should be able to find them from local fish hobby folks.
We buy other fish from aquabid but not endlers and have had really good luck. Can give you some tips if you decide to go through aquabid.
later, ken/mark

if you have time you can breed inetresting endlers from feeder guppies which appear as endlers. i believe they are slightly larger but they look just like them to me. anyway the only place i see them is city pets.Never fear I is here

I have a dozen or so, mostly young stock, but I can probobly scrounge up an adult trio.'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

and i have seen feeder guppies that look more like and are healthier then what i have seen sold as endlers before. just cus it has a different name doesnt mean it is different genetically, in fact i have seen things sold as endlers that obviously were mixed with different guppy strains, they may have looked nice but they werent endlers, so why not put feeders that look exactly like endlers. cant be far from them genetically.Never fear I is here

Re: Any place in the area have true Enders ?
Fishlady, thanks for the offer of the guppies, but I think I'm "Guppied-out". My kids picked out 2 male and 4 female guppies at City Pets on Saturday, of course, my Daughter wanted the "Most Pregnant" females. One had babies on Sunday morning (before I could get her isolated), we saved about 8 of those. Two more had babies Monday night in the isolation net and the 4th dropped sometime last night. So, all told, I think we're pushing 50+ little baby guppies (and I still see one from time to time in the main tank) - although one Mom didn't make it through the process, she expired last night :(
