I mentioned that my friend is a doctor because it wasn't about the money for him. He offered them to me for free but he just charged kiko enough to cover the gas. Then u went on about ur fish triumphing mine, when in reality I don't care about bragging right and all the wild caught stuff. I only mentioned that I'm going to be an actuary to prove the point that yes your fish may be better than mine, but who cares? I will be able to get any fish I desire in a matter of a year or two. If anyone knows me, I'm not one who is caught up in titles or anything. Just want to show what was sacrificed and show the courtesy given by both me and my friend.

What if he really wanted it. Someones desire for something could easily over come their reasoning what what's overpriced. I have been guilty of this on several accounts just cause I wanted it.Originally posted by moganman View PostHe wouldnt overpay for anything because we're in Houston, you're his cousin and you're very knowledgable, and he doesn't live in Whacko like my friend. I guess $15.90 per fish isn't bad but he shouldn't have made that smart comment after I helped hhim acquire the original 11.
Yes this is houston, imo they aren't worth no where near internet prices but as you stated, these are listed below that already, if you want them then pay for them. Simple as that.
Btw, as stated previously, he is not my cousin and we have no relations as of yet just like anyone else on this forum. Well there are some that I'm related to but kiko is not my cousin and he has a mind of his own. Everyone would like to think we conspire on a daily but most of his acquisations were done on his own behalf with little to no input from me.
He does his own homework and makes his own decisions. I think he comes to me only as a last resort, maybe because I don't take the dumb questions lightly with him like I do on here.

Oh ok... but you still haven't accounted for the more than double amount of fish he's offering.
So you've questioned his morals based on only 10 of the fish.
If it was just about your morals and how much you sell your fish for what was all the other stuff you mentioned in your post?
If I were like some others I would have taken offense to your remarks about job titles and what one can and cannot afford. If its about enjoying the hobby and allowing everyone to do the same then let's leave what one does or would be doing for their money.

No moral integrity. Everything I ever sold on here was a lot cheaper than I ever payed for anything. I want people to enjoy the hobb like I do without trying to get over. That's the point I'm trying to make

You angry?
So let's say he wants $100 for the 10 little ones he got from your friend but the price difference comes from the other 12-13 he has on top of those.... would you still think his asking price is unreasonable to the point where you had to put it on blast that he paid "100 something for 10 fish"? What if he, like your friend overpaid $25ea for the additional fish?

Didn't hurt my feelings, it's just not proper. I helped him get half those fish and he acted like that towards me for no reason. What goes around comes around. Im done.

You want a cookie?Originally posted by moganman View PostMy life doesn't revolve around fishbox and fish. I'm going to be an actuary. And then I can buy anything I want. I'm working towards something far greater than any fish you will ever own.
I'm glad you have goals in life, everyone should.
When that day comes where you have something that would make me jealous about some fish that most others outside the hobby consider a meal please do share. I like looking at pictures btw so come correct with it.
Again you sound mad about something.
I'm on the ****ter replying to you and with a smile on my face. My replies are just replies to see what's going on, no intention of bashing or getting anyone mad.

Once again you added more info that doesn't pertain to much of anything...
Paying $25 for those fish initially was your friend's loss.... I would have never paid that much for such tiny fish. I think I paid only a little more than that for ilangis when they were considered extinct or non existant in the trade and that was direct wild caught from the lakeside.
Yeah his reply was a bit harsh but its the internet... if you let banter on the web hurt your feelings then BRUH you've more problems to worry about.

Be courteous to those who are courteous to you. My friend payed $25 each for those fish. He took a loss on them and I was the original person to PM kiko and let him know my friend was getting rid of them. Instead of him offering something reasonable he gives a rude remark. Next time he's looking for something I'll keep my eyes and mouth shut.

You mad?Originally posted by moganman View PostAnd truth is, my friend is a doctor, he offered to give them to me, but since I thought kiko was cool, I even talked him into selling them to him and I negotiated the price to make it cheaper. Don't talk BS to me bruh. I'm the reason he got those fish.
I replied only with reason and you come back sounding mad about something.
What difference does it make that your friend is a doctor? If you wanted them you should have got them?
If you want them, get them, nothing much to it.
Kiko knows I give him way more ***** than anyone on here so before anyone plays that " cause" y'all related shii that's that.
Since we're throwing title around, I'm manager of custodial arts... and my fish punk your fish.

He posted 20+ fish for sale....
And I don't think it was $100 even for the ones he got from your friend, I remember him paying a bit more than that cause it happened outside my house. Plus they were tiny when he got them.... much smaller than expected.
I'm sure his asking price includes the additional fish that he has acquired....
maybe he's asking that price for the whole group which is more than double of what he got from your friend and accounting for them now having size on them since he got them? Just a guess but it could be why?
Regardless though its his fish and I'm sure he's free to ask however much he feels they're worth correct?
I've seen way too many people here ask ridiculous prices for booboo fish for anyone to be singled out about any price.
This is the mecca of trophs/petros where they are now bread & butter fish.

Bull**** is him charging that much after my friend delivered 11 for only about $100 all the way from Waco.
