Will a Eheim 2080 do just as good as a 2260? I realize the 2080 has two inflows, which I will need to merge into one, but other than that, should be good I think.Originally posted by Ticker View PostI am starting a new tank, limited funds, but really excited. It should be better or just as good. IMO, one of the drawbacks of the 2080 is that you cannot use it for closed loop - other than that, it works like a champ!Originally posted by Ticker View PostWill a Eheim 2080 do just as good as a 2260? When your tank is drilled from the bottom (mostly) and you have your intake and output setup in those holes and water is constantly going in and out. Don't think I explained it well.Originally posted by Ticker View PostForgive me, but what is closed loop? @tbui1178

My tank is drilled on the bottom with two holes. I was planning to use a splitter to split the flow into the eheims two inputs. Hope that works ok.Originally posted by tbui1178 View PostWhen your tank is drilled from the bottom (mostly) and you have your intake and output setup in those holes and water is constantly going in and out.
