  • Light for 20 gallon

    Hello again everyone.
I hate the fact I am "term ignorant" however...
I have a 20 gallon I am cleaning mucho gunk (one of my more technical terms) out of and everything works EXCEPT the light.  The hood or cover is missing the glass (was broken) and the light fixture is completely corroded.  I do have a bulb.  The fixture is almost 24" long, but takes the almost 18" bulb.  Does anyone have an extra around?  I'm cleaning the tank as we speak.
    Let me know :-)

also... do I need to replace the glass to keep another fixture from dying?

You will need something there to keep the light from falling in or keep the water from getting on the light.

      HAPPY DANCE>>>>
I have the tank all cleaned out and running.... added some water from my 10 gallon and put the light from the 10 over the 20 just to see how it would look. BEAUTIOUS!!!
Now I just need a light for one of them. Wow.... it looks amazing... the bacteria needs to take off and it will be AWESOME!  Pics aren't the best and not exactly sure if I posted them correctly, but these have the light from my 10 gallon lighting it up.  The cover i have for the 20 doesn't let the light fall in...I just didn't know if it was a requirement to have the glass there *shrugs* :-)
      Going to try to show:

I might have an extra in my un-used stash of misc. fish equipment. let me look around and see what I've got.
