I constantly check 3 petsmarts and 3 petcos in my vacinity and if I'm lucky, I'll get 10 a week.

I call every thursday, when I get off work (5:00/5:30) and I'm told there are 20-30. 30 minutes later when I make it there I maybe get 10. Usually like 5.

I'd really like to get them some snails. I'll pay for them, so if anybody has a snail infestation lemme know!

I resorted to fiddler crabs and a bamboo shrimp this week, which wasn't cheap.

Wow bamboo shrimp... Just buy yourself a 2.5 or 5 gal if you don't mind a 10 gal even better.... Then buy some snails and rcs and let them reproduce like crazy... You'll have a nice shrimp tank and food year round

i would only get my ghost shrimps from city pet. it's dirt cheap and i've been feeding my oscar with it for years without problem.

i've always think that too much snails in a shrimp tank would deplete the trace calcium in water. my snail tank never get a water change, and after 5 months, you can see all the snail shells gradually turn transparent. this may be bad for the shrimps.

on other note, when i buy ghost shrimps, i feed them one by one gradually over the course of a week or two. in that time, if any ghost shrimp molt, i pick up the exoskeleton and feed it to my crystals or cherries and they just eat it up as if it was their own.

Does it eat only live foods? You could hit up an asian supermarket and get all kinds of seafood for it. Fresh and frozen.
                      700g Mini-Monster tank

First off..... what kind of puffer is it?? I have a Fahaka and a Mbu, I feed them frozen table shrimp daily, but also I give them clams on a half shell, mystery snails, frozen krill (Petsmart) and here over the last week I've got my Mbu to start eating Hikari Massivore Pellets

I'm bad with scientific names, but one is a large F8 and the other a small orange saddle fugu. They are my girlfriends prized possessions. Super picky with frozen foods, and like I said as of late it is getting hard to find them live foods. We've had them for around a year. I was hoping somebody local had some crunchy foods for them but I may just end up ordering some online.

Go to Fish Gallery, they sell these little plastic containers with freeze dried krill for cheap. With those puffers it should last you a good while

They aren't fond of freeze dried krill. Been trying for months.

And fish gallery is too far away for a weekly trip. I live in Dickinson, which is basically almost Galveston. Can't wait to move back towards Pearland in a few months, buy stuck here for now.
