anyone? I'd really not buy a new one from aquatraders :P i'd rather have a cpr but, price kills me and i've heard the aquatraders one is just as good except the intake pipe. I heard you can just use teflon tape (wrong thing?) to use on the intake.

I actually have a 110 aquafuge. thing about them that I didn't like is that they accumulate so much detritus over time. at one point i had a lil over an inch of it just at the bottom. if by chance (which is why I tore down my 10 nano reef in the first place) the filter gets knocked around all that waste gets thrown into the display and throws everything off. (cat+tank=sadness) and this was with a bare bottom fuge, upgraded propeller, and cheato algae.Originally posted by rmalford View PostI was always interested in the DIY out of an Aquaclear 110.Last edited by ometh; 02-10-2012, 12:30 PM.

I shoulda put modded propeller. sorry but, all it is, is you cut the some of the propeller wings off and you should only have 3. reduces the flow so copeopods can propergate easier without being blown into the display. If you want a stronger flow for a 50 just get a 110 propeller. for the 110 I forgot the exact brand but, there's someone that makes a propeller with more wings for more flow for the 110. Look on nano-reef, i've seen like 20 different ways on how to mod the AC into a fuge.Originally posted by electricblue View PostHow you upgrade the propeller, I have a similar with ac50
