Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want. :(

I would try feeder guppies before I spent the money on good stock.

It's hard to see the twinkle in my eye or the smile on my lips when I make a smart @$$ remark.
Hope you understand that I don't mean to dis anybody.   I'm just enjoying your company.

well i don't know anything about puffers...but i know i think they are soooooo cute......are they an expensive fish?.....and do you have to feed them live fish?....is it wise to put other fish in with them?.....i mean fish you want to keep.....if you can't put other fish in with them can you just put colorful things in the tank with them for added color?....i know i saw a big big puffer at aquairum world and that thing swims back and forth in that giant tank they have in there....every time i go in there it's swimming back and forth back and forth....i stand there and watch it....it's so cute.......but it's soooo big too....

i put the MBU in there after all of african cichlids.

That might have contributed to the beatings.....the cichlids established their territory and then you introduced a stranger to the tank which is owned by the cichlids...some mean ones at that.

okay well i put i few guppies in and he seems not to mind so far. i feed MBU first then put them in. only a few of them to start. so i will give it a few days and see how it goes. the MBU can be a little expensive dependeing on what size you get.  you can feed them shimp or live things such as crawfish. snails etc.

oh ...cool...then you don't have to feed it live fish then....cool....thanks for that information steven.....i had been thiniking about getting one of the little bitty ones....hehehehee....i just didn't want to have to see it eat a live fish....
