  • LF LED Light strips or low profile LED fixtures 36" (qty 2)

I am looking for 36" LED light fixtures (low profile) with high lumen - 2 units - for my 72" length tank. If anyone has 2 units, please PM or text me 832-928-6816.

Any recommendation or suggestion on specific manufacturer & model and where I can buy would be appreciated.

What are you using it for? Reef or fish?

I use (2) 36-48 marineland double brights on my 180 (FW fish) and it works out well. Keep in mind that these will NOT line up in a single row so you have to over lap them kind of crooked. If I didnt have a canopy I wouldn't use these this way as it is not attractive. They do make a 6' LED but it is the "reef capable" strip and much more expensive than the double brights.

    HTH
    180 - reef
    30 - reef

You guys are awesome! Thanks for the info and recommendation.
My tank has only African cichlids.
@BassTank, Is your unit 8K or 12K? Where can I find the light cheapest?

I would like to know that as well. The best I found in google shopping was this for 24" LED fixtures

            Thanks in advance.

The cheapest I found so far: http://www.tbaquatics.com/current-tr...ight-1013.html
$101.95 free S/H. Also cheapest for other sizes. Looks like I have some budgeting to do - like taking out my retirement acct (LOL).

Look for the ecoxotic stunners 8000K, I like more the 8k than the 12k for freshwater, is a more natural color.

I did a month of online search and found this website and it looks like they are very low price compare to others. I'm planning to order for my new reef tank once is ready with corals.

I think suitable light is (WLFA-xWx0HF)
WLFA series Waterproof Light Fixtures with High Flux Piranha LEDs.

Super Bright LEDs is one of the largest online retailers of LED lighting for commercial and residential uses. Enjoy free/same-day shipping on qualifying orders!

                        Hope this is useful.

                            Thanks, Kevin_4u2nv, for your suggestion.

WLFA is a bit weak with only 95 lumen/foot whereas WLFA2 has 450 lumen/foot which would most probably be more than sufficient.

I ordered on Tuesday from SuperBrightLeds.com and received it on Thursday (only 2 days - super fast!). For my 42-G hex, I ordered 20-inch light bar (WLFA2) and a 12-V compact power supply (CPS) that plugs straight to the light bar (plug-n-play). Wow! super bright, indeed. I should have order 3 or 4 light bars to save on S/H. Thermal output of the unit is minimal even though it has sufficient heat sink. Very low profile. I would say it's even lower profile than TruLumen. It is as bright but cheaper (less expensive) than TruLumen. I believe these are the same LEDs that Fish Gallery uses. I highly recommend, especially for you Kevin_4u2nv.

Ordering 4 more units for my 150-G. Will post my PC and all lighting equipment on the box soon.
