My brother in law is looking for a canister for his 40g.

I'm looking for a good sized filter and a reasonable price.
Eheim 2217, rena xp2 or 3, fluval 305 or 405.

Yeah, I approiciate it, but I need something with some kick, its a growout for a small Florida gar and a red eared slider.

Nice. I've got a needle nose as well. Used to have a red eared slider in with him (about an inch and a half across) but he crawled out.
