i would say regardless buy mark razmandis rena xp3 for $100.

thats still way less then you would pay for a new xp1
and its ridiculously more effective then either of those other 2 filters.

for 10 gal planted tank, an internal filter is best in my opinion : D

2215 would be tight!
its got a flow rate of like 165gph thats pefect.

im running an eheim ecco 2234 canister with a flow rate of around 150gph on my 10g.
its working out very nicely.

thanks for all the responses. fish nuts the 2028 is probably too strong for what I'm using it for, but thanks anyway. kenniebird, is the 2215 silent? this is going to be in my living room where i often sit so i don't want a loud impeller. And batman. right now I have an intank filter in the 10gal, but its taking up prime fish real estate. Dustin , I was looking for something used right now, trying to save if i can.
