Damn, that sucks. I see a trip to lfs.

We lost power too last night. For some reason, the circuit my 156 gallon is on blew at the outside electrical junction box. So, when power was restored, I went outside in the wind and rain and flipped the breaker back on. Afterall, my Red Rainbow's need their oxygen!! I must say, it was not too pleasant out there playing near the electrical box. The wind blew the electrical junction box open!! Not good!

Same thing happened to us last night.....Fishlady's mag took a dump.....although I was able to remove the face plate and get the impeller moving again....somehow the Oring on the faceplate came off and had jammed the impeller...you might check and see if yours did the same???

I also lost power yesterday off and on around 3:16am, luckily the thunder woke me up. I went and flipped the power switch off on each tanks power strip till the power stayed on reliably. I do this during every storm if I am home to keep from frying pumps or filters. Don't know what time they came back on, had to stay awake till power came on so I could turn all the pumps and filters back on.

I'm confused about you saying you would work it yourself if it were a mag, do you mean repair or take apart. I have several quiet one pumps and they can also be worked on.
