  • 20LB Co2 cylinder for sell

    Hi

I just purchased a 20lb CO2 cylinder, and found it is too big to fit in my stander. So that I would like to get rid of it. It is in very good condition, and used as beverage CO2 supply I guess. I got it for $60.

    Thanks

              20lb CO2 cylinder

Sorry guys. I am busy these days and late to post answers.
              • The Tank is Aluminum.
              • I didn't measure the height. But I have Perfeco 150 aquarium with original Perfeco stander. The Tank is about 1 inch higher to put into the stander, so that I would like to get rid of it.
              • It is the cylinder only. No regulator come with the sell
              • I will go back to check if there is hydro test date. And will post it later. The tank was for bar beverage CO2.
              • I am locate in Sugar Land

              Thanks for looking

I just checked with air gas. To fill 20lb cylinder will cost me $9.80.
They don't fill 5lb cylinder. I once refill my 5lb in Houston Fish Gallary, they charge me $20 plus tax. And it only lasted less than three monthes.

If I remember correctly the last test date was April of 1998. And if my memory will not fail me still, Aluminum bottles have a 5 year life before a re-test and stamp is needed.

I beleive the bottle will have to be retested in order to get it filled since it is 6 years overdue.

When is the last time you had this tank filled? Where?

Thanks. It is good to know. I just purchased the tank from somebody else. The tank it self looks very good. Still have a little bit gas in it. I will take the tank to refill in next two weeks see what will happen

                            :(

Look a little harder, maybe on the neck. If there is another stamping cluster with a number set like 00@00 then this could indicate that it has already been retested. If so you could be in luck. This is usually bound around the neck as it is the thickest part. Remember if this is found it has to be less than five years ago.

Found this link, it is on a paint ball forum but it still applies. about midway thru the page the infor for larger tanks can be found. Decent explination of reading the codes.

If you are requested to get a hydro shop around for the price, some places can be a little proud of their service. You could try a swap out instead of refill and let them get hit for the test fee, if there is a sticker on it identifying the gas company that sold the tank then they may take it back and give you a updated, full tank back.

                              CO2 tank

Thanks for the information. I could not see any other stamp on the neck. But there are two stickers one is from "Houston COCA" (and the tank stamped "Houston CoCa"). Two stickers are white, showing it is CO2
