I have a 29 gallon tank that has an OLD OLD OLD hood. The light fixture is kind of attached and the fixture doesn't seem to work.
So... I need either a 24" light strip and some glass lids.. the top of the tank is approx 30"x 12.5" and I need something. RIght now I have a hanging light leaning against the tank and eventually i want to make this tank planted.
I have 2 straight pin compact bulbs um...15 or 16" and 36watts. One is 50/50 and the other is 10,000k I believe. I have some bubblers. I have a um..I think it is a 16 gallon tank that housed guppies for a while that still has larger smooth pebbles in the bottom. I have some tops for smaller tanks. I could trade you a farlowella acus I could trade (its a really cool looking long nosed pleco type fish.- pics in my gallery). I have two pictus cats, brichardi fry, 4 turquoise rainbows (rather good sized...3-4 inches), mbuna mbamba bays who have repeatedly held eggs but the fry get scarfed up by my ghost knives. Hmm... I have two juvie obi peacocks, a sunshine peacock pair -adults,.... .ask me and I may have it to trade.
I also have a 10lb bag of pond plant soil. I was going to use it for my planted tank but I need a hood more lol.
I am really looking for the perfecto type of hood.. but if someone has glass lids that would work..I am down for that too...but I do need a light. At this point a 24" light would make me happy. I have old glass at angles to cover as much of the tank as possible lol.
